At Bingham Primary School, safeguarding our children is the responsibility of everyone.
Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children refers to the process of protecting children from maltreatment, preventing the impairment of children’s health or development, ensuring that children are growing up in circumstances consistent with the provision of safe and effective care and taking action to enable all children to have the best life chances.

Safeguarding Ambassadors
I am delighted to introduce our Safeguarding Ambassadors — a team of KS2 pupils who are helping to promote positive wellbeing, safety and safeguarding across our school.
Our Safeguarding Ambassadors will play an important role in helping our children understand that their voice matters, that it is okay to ask for help, and that there are trusted adults who are there to listen and support them.
The team will not deal with safeguarding concerns themselves. Instead, they help children understand the importance of speaking to a trusted adult, ensuring pupils know where to turn for support and make positive contributions to the wellbeing of all our pupils.
Mr Blankley-Woods
