Book and Biscuit Day
Parents and Carers at Bingham Primary School were warmly welcomed into school for our recent Book and Biscuit Day, a lovely event celebrating reading and time spent together. It was a win‑win situation as pupils enjoyed the opportunity to share their reading book with an adult, while also sitting down to enjoy a biscuit together.
The event created a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere, and it was wonderful to see classrooms filled with families reading, chatting and smiling together. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the session, and it was fantastic to see such a great turnout from our school community.
Encouraging a love of reading from a young age is incredibly important. Regular reading helps children to develop their vocabulary, imagination and understanding of the world around them, while also supporting their confidence and academic progress. Reading with children at home has additional benefits too, strengthening relationships, creating positive routines and showing children that reading is enjoyable as well as valuable.
Thank you to all the Parents and Carers who were able to attend and support this event. We look forward to welcoming you back to school again soon for more opportunities to celebrate learning together.
